christmas village

i organized some of my stash a few weeks ago and grouped like with like...and like...i have a lot of christmas stuff. and this is just what i found this year!

yes, yes i did

not only buy and wrap gifts for my pet but also selected dogs-wearing-skis wrapping paper. actually the paper came first - once i saw it at target, i knew i had to get mikey some gifts to use it. and look at him - even he can tell that the whole thing is totally wrong. but dogs-wearing-skis...i mean...come on!

the little fluff also got some gifts. here he is enjoying a bone and hoping i leave him alone.

a certain someone

sported a holiday bandanna for a few festivities. i'm pretty anti-dog bandanna but come on - this one works.

holidays on ice

i love this cute felt ornament complete with sequin-button stockings and a pair of ice skates!

christmas miracle

it doesn't seem as though mikey has even noticed that there is a tree in the house. we mikey-proofed a bit by getting a smaller tree and keeping it up on a coffee table, but he hasn't shown any interest in it anyway. he has shown some interest in jumping on me while i take a picture of the tree - but that made the lights look like candy canes, so i'm fine with it. thanks, mike.

second haul

jackpot! my second trip to my own little north pole proved very successful! i got a few cute ornaments, a sweet reindeer, pretty ribbon and a bunch of magazines. the christmas balls have winter scenes in them complete with styrofoam snow!

a GIANT plow, a living snowglobe, bulldozer of fresh snow, red tractor followed by eight john DEER tractors (christmas tractor jokes!) and then HERE COMES SANTA!

the shoppers stroll in the village of clinton featured roasted chestnuts, a reading of the night before christmas and a parade featuring a zamboni (probably driven by kirk).

the cutest things on a sled ever

i love this little ornament i just got. tiny and wrapped with yarn, they are sitting a sled back to back. they must be going fast because their scarves are blowing in the wind!

first crop

there is a tiny thrift store in my hometown that always has really good holiday items. this is what i got on my first christmas visit. i'm really trying to cool it and only get things i love, so i had to pass up some real gems!

california christmas

i was recently in san diego, where they celebrate christmas big despite the sunshine. the christmas tree in the center photograph is literally on the beach (ocean beach).
